What I enjoyed most about Jennifer Grace's Directing Your Destiny, is that it's such a well thought out, and vividly presented plan that you don't even need to take notes to refer back to while you're putting her ideas into action. It's a powerful system of 30 transforming days. Four specifically themed weeks can take you from where your life is now, to a whole new show. The movie metaphors work incredibly well for portraying how possible transformation really is. If you've ever done any acting, directing, or writing at any level, you'll really enjoy this book. Even if you haven't, we're all creative spirits on some level. We're all armchair directors when we want to be. There is some mind boggling, life changing material here that is definitely worth checking out. My initial concern when I first saw the title, was that it was going to be a sort of instruction manual on "fake it til you make it" manifestation. It isn't that, it's an empowering way of looking at your life, and it morphs easy so you can personalize the author's thoughts and examples. The book also gives you access to a website where you can download guided meditations. I was not financially compensated for this post. I received the book from Hay House for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

FTC Disclosure: I received this book for free from Hay House Publishing for this review. The opinion in this review is unbiased and reflects my honest judgment of the product. What I like about this book is the simplicity of the technique. Anyone who has experience in Reiki, Qigong or other types of energy work will benefit from this book. I enjoyed the visualization exercises and instructions. With a little effort I was able to quickly catch on to what QE, or Quantum Entrainment, is, and how powerful it can be. Dr. Kinslow is a good teacher. I did find myself needing to reread a few sections, but that was due to my mind overcomplicating the instructions. Another great thing about this book, is that it focuses solely on one healing technique, rather than attempting to bring all energy work under one umbrella. In some other forms, it's necessary to ask a person's permission before sending them healing forces. However, Dr. Kinslow succinctly explains that permission isn't necessary as the healer isn't doing anything, isn't fixing someone that's broken, just becoming aware and getting out of the way of ego and desire, and letting the powerful, natural energies flow. The book does a much better job of explaining it than I can. The mp3 downloads on the author's webpage are invaluable to really getting the hang of the Kinslow System, and I highly recommend those as well.

In Stress Free in 30 Days, Charles Linden does a wonderful job of explaining the difference between stress, anxiety, and depression, which people often lump together. He explains the differences in their causes, and manifestations. The main focus of the book is recovering from stress and/or anxiety. The author shows the chemical reactions caused by stress, and how they damage the body in the short and long term, as well as how if left untreated they can lead to an anxiety disorder. The 30 day program is easy to follow. All the solutions offered are helpful. It's not complicated, but it requires following through with it. Whether you're dealing with the stress of raising kids, or a high pressure sales job, this book could point you in a more productive direction. Within the first few days you should be feeling better, and find yourself more equipped to handle pressure and demands. The CD that comes with the book contains a short summation of how stress can mess you up, as well as several empowering visualizations to help you with relaxation and self-confidence.
